Live performance and on air interview with Juliet Fromholt from Kaleidoscope of WYSO - WYSO

"New Vega makes spacey, probing alt rock that is never predictable. The band passes through the same wormhole as neo prog bands like tool, but they work in even more dynamics and ambient quirks."

Bio
New Vega was formed by both friendship and musicianship in late 2008 in a makeshift attic studio downtown Dayton, OH. That studio has evolved into the 1300 square foot recording studio, built by hand, by the band, and utilized to record both their 3 song E.P. and upcoming full length album titled "Tempo"
Alex Rundle, Chance Campbell, Adam Sabin, and Zach Sabin all come from a diverse musical background encompassing jazz, rock, folk, pop and classical music. Each played in numerous bands, ensembles, and academic endeavors before finally starting a project in which they could explore and express everything learned thus far.
The band was selected to play Mid Point Music Festival in 2009 and South Wind Music Fest recently in 2011. They have been featured in the Dayton City Paper as well as the Dayton Daily News and other local print media. The band has also appeared three times live on "Kaleidoscope" , a radio show on NPR 91.3 WYSO.
A mix of writing, playing shows both at home and abroad, recording and mixing/mastering, have been New Vega's agenda since inception.
The band released their full length album "Tempo" in September 2011 and a video for their first single "Forming Circles" directed by Carr Rundle, in November of 2011.
Band members Alex Rundle and Adam Sabin moved to Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati Ohio in the fall of 2011 in hopes of directly injecting into its vast growing indie music scene. Quickly fans, and venues in Cincinnati picked up on the New Vega sound and they have since been asked to share the stage at Bogarts with Our Lady Peace, as well as Fountain Square with The Sundresses during a 4EG event.
In the summer of 2012 the band set out to Fat Track studio to track songs for their upcoming release "Exit Ocean". The album has been mastered by Grammy Award Winning Engineer Adam Ayan at Gateway Mastering Studio in Portland Maine, home of Bob Ludwig. The band plans to release the album independently in the summer of 2013.
Future plans for New Vega include writing material for their next album, shooting another music video for their next single off of "Exit Ocean", and touring in support with dates already lined up for big events at Smale Park on Cincinnati's Riverfront, as well as Major Music Festival, Bunbury!
