Devon “D.E” Johnson (22) and Antonio “TONE” Husband (23) was both born and raised in Brooklyn New York. They met each other on the basketball court not to far from there home and realize they love for basketball was no where as strong as it was for music.They became good friends and started recording everyday after school on a karaoke machine with newest instrumental cd out just for fun.They decided to take his music career to the next level. Antonio “TONE” Husband who was already in a rap group but he decide to leave and join Devon “D.E” Johnson to form GM Productions (Which stood for good music). They both build a studio in Devon basement and recorded 24/7 but got tried of using industry instrumentals, so they perished an MPC beat machine, And discover a new talent, with there hard drums, sped up samples and concepts they started doing beat for everyone, Maino, Jr writer, Camron, Jim Jones, Red café, Young Jeezy, and many more. Influences by Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Just Blaze in the hip hop genre they was also influence by 80s pop(Prince, Phil Colins), European Pop(DJ Encore, N-Trance), Techno, Rock, and Soul. But with producing for so many hip hop artist they never got a chance show that side of talent. In 2008 things got slow do to the recession and to the lack of artist creative, Artist didn’t expect they’re new sound of beats so they decided to record to them there self and formed NewDay. With Heavy bass, 80s pop snares and futuristic sythns and sounds, they’re music is unique. With melodies that are unforgettable and rhymes that we touch you, you know they will be headed for greatness.
