And besides those inventive song structures and beautiful instrumentation, what makes this album just 'so good' is that heavenly voice of Christine Oele. - festival info
"High Resolution Blues is a stunning soundcollage featuring dark folk, latenight jazz, intense rock, a little bit of shoegaze and everything in between" - Live XS
“Think spheres, think dreams, think movies. Imagine that bluesclub where the band is playing in the background of a scene. And then suddenly draws your attention, like Nick Cave does in “Der Himmel über Berlin”. A movie that could also suit the music of Nevada Drive” - musicfrom.nl
“One of my favourite Dutch releases of the last couple of years” - www.fileunder.nl
“A minute later I was totally sucked into the song. And that’s exactly the power of Nevada Drive: whether it’s a strong melody or well thought out composition, with every song they eventually win you over completely” - Musicmaker

Bio
Nevada Drive is a Dutch band from Amsterdam founded by singer-songwriter Christine Oele and guitarist/producer Rene Ahoud. They met each other searching for ancient audio equipment and discovered a mutual passion for haunting melodies, electronic experimentation and cinematic soundscapes. Their debut album Fernweh brought them radio and television shows, a Canadian indie release and a performance on the famous Dutch Lowlands festival.
Their second, High Resolution Blues, was released in April 2012. This time they started with acoustic instruments and experimented within the boundaries of conventional song structures. They let songs waver from small and intimate to big and orchestral, from traditional to avantgarde and from folk to ambient. It’s a striking combination of cinematic soundscapes and heart-wrenching melodies: dark, dreamlike and hauntingly beautiful.
Nevada Drive has grown into an international six-piece band, with Croatian drummer Sin Banoviç, the Swedish Henrik Holm on bass and the Dutchmen Rutger Reinders and Sander Donkers on keys and guitar. Together they create intense and intimate live shows, preferably in out of the ordinary places like former churches, movie theatres, rooftops and living rooms. This fall they will tour cinema houses in The Netherlands with their High Resolution Tour, in which they will be integrating some of the movies and images that have inspired the album into their mesmerizing live show.
