Neu'Raye

Neu’Raye (A.K.A. “LCIV”) is an award winning songwriter originally from Detroit, MI now in metropolitan Grand Rapids, MI who mainly focuses on songwriting and producing. He is an eclectic and versatile musical artist. Neu'Raye began his involvement and passion for music at an early age. Around age 14, he began writing songs and playing the saxophone in high school. He obtained a Minor in Music at Western Michigan University, where he majored in Biomedical Sciences and was a NCAA Division I Football Athlete. Subsequently, he was “Pro-rated” at Scout Camp Pro Football Regional Combines in Chicago, Illinois in 2001. Since, he has graduated from medical school and has become a neurologist, sub-specializing in headache medicine. His intense study did not keep him away from his love of music. He arranged songs for a cappella groups and bands, participated in music ministries and audio teams, and wrote and produced his first album in 2003 entitled “Christmas Prayer”. In 2004, he founded four small music businesses, one of which was active in the bidding process of the Emerging Businesses of the NFL Superbowl XL in 2006. Late 2008, Neu’Raye decided to focus mainly on songwriting with aspirations to enter the music industry as a professional songwriter. “My music industry dream presents with several challenges all of which I will conquer while being a competent physician! I am constantly honing my skills and increasing my knowledge in the art of songwriting and the business of music.” Neu’Raye stated. He is doing just that. Just months after becoming a board certified neurologist in 2009, he had four songs place in the 2010 27th Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. He looks forward to forming partnerships with like-minded talented individuals and alliances with others in the music industry. Neu’Raye currently resides in the metropolitan Grand Rapids, MI area.
