Bio
Nate Danker has been playing music for over a decade in a handful of genres, his creative outlets have spanned all of modern music. This new project has really set him apart from all other endeavors. With good friend and accomplished violinist, Noah Luft-Weissberg, these two have nothing but determination in their eyes. It's difficult to find two young men with such a passion for what they're playing while also incorporating a relentless work ethic. Danker's fingerpicking style has been compared to Iron & Wine and Jose Gonzalez; it's easy to tell that his lyrics come straight from the heart that has endured a number of tribulations in life. The two find it hard to describe their music without limiting what they want to portray but one word that always seems to come out is, "honesty." They play for themselves and construct their songs in the same fashion. The two have some similar but mostly different avenues of inspiration, from modern day singer songwriters all the way to 19th century classical performers. With Luft-Weissberg's mastery in performance violin and Danker's untraditional style of writing, they seem to find an unexpected common ground. At times the two write pieces that could put your fussy infant to sleep and others that push the limits of labeling this project, "acoustic". The debut album, "Texture" is a collection of their work for the past couple of years and is a great representation of their creative nature. The entire record was recorded in friends apartments, basements, porches and even a bathroom. What really sets the two apart from other acts in the indie/folk/acoustic genre is their ability to acclimate their act to the venue at the time. They could play in your living room or a concert hall packed to the brim. There's nothing they aren't willing to try and there's no limit to their DIY sense of determination.
