Have you been to the EDGE of the world yet -- the EDGE of Jade Rush’s world that is? If you haven’t yet… you will! Jade Rush is a beautiful and talented female artist, who hails from the fourth largest city in the nation; the wonderful city of Houston, Texas. She grew up in the east and northeast sides of town, participating in numerous talent shows in the greater Houston area as a child. She would perform cover songs from her favorite Tejano artist, Selena, such as “Coma La Flor”, “No Me Queda Mas”, “Que Creias”, and many more. At the age of sixteen she became an independent lead singer for several Tejano bands. This was when she came to the realization that she wanted to pursue her dream of being in the entertainment industry. At the age of seventeen, she graduated from Barbizon, acting and modeling school. After graduating from C.E. King High school she attended a semester of college at San Jacinto College - North Campus. However, Jade wanted a challenge in her life, and decided to join the Marine Corps in July of 2003. She got to travel to other ends of the world to such countries as far as Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines, as well as the eastern coast of the United States. She learned a vast amount of other cultures while in her service for the Corps, as well as a bit more about herself throughout the time until reaching the end of her service in July of 2007. Today she is out of the Corps and in medical school, pursuing a degree in medical science, as well as chasing her first dream… to become a singer. This is the Jade Rush that we have come to see in present day; comfortable in her own skin, more mature, and well diverse. Jade is ready to see where the next chapter in her life takes her, and embrace the next level of the entertainment business. She believes that sheer determination and dedication will get her to the top where she wants to be, but she won’t allow herself to stop there! Jade Rush is now exclusively signed to a record label in Houston by the name of Canvas Entertainment. Both her style and sound will be unique, edgy, and funky pop with a Latin twist. Jade Rush (JR) will be a household name in the years to come; so stay tuned, because the Rush is finally here!
