MeRCY

Sounding more like DMX than Trick Daddy, south Florida emcee, MeRCY, is ready to bring his brand of street rhymes to the masses. The son of a musician, he was spurred into rapping by his older brother, developing a style grounded in New York’s gilded age of the 90s, being inspired by its luminaries including Rakim and Mobb Deep. In 2015, the self proclaimed comic book junkie, released The Prestige III, featuring a number of acts including Sean Price, and Ransom. The album’s second single, Eagle Eye View, featuring Sean Price, was featured on Top hip-hop blogs 2DopeBoyz and NahRight, the latter of which praised the song as a “textbook example of grown-man rap”. MeRCY has opened for a number of artists including Jadakiss, Curren$y, Action Bronson, Vado, and Cyhi Da Prince among others. By focusing on the process of developing and perfecting his craft, MeRCY plans on being a household name soon. With his Illustrious Music Group crew bringing heat as well, he plans to invade more speakers with the Day of Reckoning Remix ft Dave East and Illustrious Music Group artist, Bishop.
