MoonMuseum is an alternative pop band from Edmonton. “Back There” is typical of their restrained approach to indie folk-pop, with James Cuvilier’s idiosyncratic vocals sounding distant and the backing music borrowed from an early eighties college radio station. - Ride the Tempo

MoonMuseum, an electro-pop duo, opted to use the little rectangular format for their recent debut, Present in the Haze. “Cassettes really do have a unique sound,” says frontman James Cuvilier. “We think our sound is a good fit.” - Edmonton Journal
It’s been a while but Moonmuseum finally make their way back to Ride the Tempo. “Sow” is a booming echo from a dream land. To cap things off the vocalist sound like one of those ’80s English singers that frequented John Hughes’ movies. Yep, that’s a good thing. - Ride TheTempo

Bio
MoonMuseum is the creative collaboration of Edmonton based multi-instrumentalists James Cuvilier and Kayleigh MacKay. The band was formed in May 2013 and spent the summer opening for acts like Vancouver’s Teen Daze and Toronto’s By Divine Right, in addition to playing many local Edmonton shows. The remainder of the year saw MoonMuseum solidifying a distinctive sound and live persona, and preparing to record their first release. The band’s EP Present in the Haze was self-recorded between February and April 2014 and was formally released for digital download October 2014, with a cassette release for consumer purchase courtesy of Clean Up Your Act Productions November 2014. Since its release the record has gone onto chart on eight college radio top 30 charts across Canada. MoonMuseum is currently recording their follow up release, which will be available summer 2015.
