Bio
Mitch Hull is an active drummer/teacher based out of North Carolina. Mitch was self taught from the age of 5 and eventually studied with various teachers including going to Drummer Collective in New York City. As a young child, Mitch was an Elvis impersonator which led to being onstage with Elvis in 1975 and 1976! Started playing out in local bands at age 12 and hasn't stopped since.
Mitch has toured the US countless times in several bands including Gongzilla, Staxx, Chameleon, War 4 Peace and currently with Soften the Glare which includes Ryan Martinie(Mudvayne) and Bon Lozaga(Gong).
Soften the Glare released "Making Faces" in 2018 with sales worldwide! The new album "Glint" will be released in March 2020.
Mitch plays with several local cover bands also including Mean Street(Van Halen tribute) 3 Card Monte, The Forecast, Superhold(80's tribute) The Mulligans, and lots of fill-in dates with various artists including The Holdouts, Will Jones, Stereodoll, Jimmy Shirley, Jerry Chapman, The Plaids, Tiny Boxes, Mr Mic, Big Ron Hunter, Melva Houston and more. In 2019 Mitch played 182 shows/festivals with 23 different bands!
Endorsements include Vater Drumsticks, Aquarian Drumheads, Sabian Cymbals, Hansenfutz Practice Pedals and Factory Metal Percussion.
