Miniature Dinosaurs are a pop/rock band from Stirling, Scotland. The band consists of Barry Maclean (vocals/guitar), Alban Dickson (bass guitar), Craig Ferrie (guitar/keys) and Sam Waller (drum kit). Critics have compared their music to the likes of David Bowie, The Killers, Pulp and Weezer.
Their first single, (I Want To Watch) Top Gear, was featured on BBC Radio One three months before the outfit performed their first gig. Since then the band have supported such artists as Fenech-Soler, Twin Atlantic, Florrie, Young the Giant and Wave Machines.
2 self-released EPs followed, Chatterbox in 2010 and Off the Radio in early 2011. Both EPs were supported with live dates throughout the UK.
In February 2011, Electric Honey, the label that started the careers of Biffy Clyro, Snowpatrol and Belle and Sebastian, signed the band to release a 7" single of 'Fight or Flight', which was released in June 2011.
In May 2011 the band hosted their very own 5-a-side football tournament for Scottish bands in their hometown stadium belonging to Stirling Albion Football Club. The event was a huge success and it's hoped that it will become an annual fixture. Miniature Dinosaurs made it to the Semi Finals to be beaten by eventual winners, We Were Promised Jetpacks.
In September 2011 the single, Alligator, was released through up and coming Glasgow independent label, Saraseto Records (download only). The track was recorded and produced by Kev Harper from the band Little Eskimos and mastered at Loud Mastering (The National, Franz Ferdinand, Darwin Deez).

2012 has seen the band return to the studio to work with producer Stuart Macleod, the results of which will be heard on the band's next EP 'Turn It On' released on Integrity Records in November 2012, with an album slotted for Spring 2013.
