MindThirst is a Brooklyn based band with a touch of deep Alternative Indie Rock that makes you think. Flavored with intense dark vocals that is inspired by a good feeling guitar, it’s a blend of rock, new wave, and pop.
MindThirst is the brain child of the acoustic duo of D. Lammie-Hanson, vocals and songwriting and Ken Pesantes, acoustic guitar. They started as just songwriting and jamming session partners and soon after played in the coffee shops and pubs for open mics throughout NYC to test their music out.
They've played the MEANY Festival at the CB's Gallery, Arlene Grocery, Continental, Downtime, Five Spot (Brooklyn) to name a few venues.
Their musical influences are Radiohead, Bjork, Kate Bush, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, REM, Jimi Hendrix, Lennon, PJ Harvey, Sarah McLachlin, Cocteau Twins, Ditzmas, Pillar, Flyleaf to name a few.
