Formed in 2008, Midnight Ultra are a multi-genre band from Denver,CO. Their original songs blend elements of rock, funk, jam, fusion, pop, jazz, and punk known as: supergroovejamrock
Conjuring the groove sensibilities of Talking Heads with 70's riff rock overtones into energized Zappa-esque composition with indie-pop flare, Midnight Ultra's sound comes steeped in a wide variety of influences harnessing each members similar and different tastes. Their live shows highlight seamless song transitions of original material with occasional cover selections ranging from the obscure to the unforgettable.
Midnight Ultra have seen special guests JoJo Hermann (Widespread Panic) and Kris Myers (Umphreys McGee) make live apprearances, performed at festivals including Summer Camp 2010 and Realm of Music 2008/2010 as well as shared billing with Rose Hill Drive, JoJo's Mardi Gras Band, Bill Kreutzman, Jerry Garcia Band, Garaj Mahal, New Riders of the Purple Sage, the Macpodz, Jerry Joseph and more...
