The Pac Div representative, Mibbs, is back today with something new for our viewing enjoyment today. The wordsmith decided to let loose of his brand new video for the track called “Freebass”. The track was produced by the one and only, Scoop DeVille, who laced Mibbs with something incredibly nice to lay down his bars upon.
He hits the track running and lets loose of his infectious flow, while the video finds Mibbs doing his thing in a number of interesting, trippy settings. The track can be found on Mibbs and Scoop’s EP, Freebass, which is out now! Don’t sleep on this shit, check out the visuals after the jump and let us know what you think down below. - Stupid Dope

For what it’s worth, I still maintain that too many folks slept on Mibbs‘ joint EP with Scoop Deville, FREEBASS. I’m not necessarily sure why, but hopefully that will change if enough people get around to peeping these psychedelic visuals for the title track. “FREEBASS” is a looping banger and that’s kind of the point—Mibbs and his teammates in Pac Div can make deep music if they want, but they also know how to let loose. And that’s exactly what the West Coast rapper is doing here, flexing around town with Deville and enough birds to make Alfred Hitchcock proud. - Pot Holes In My Blog

A few months ago, Pac Div member Mibbs put out his solo EP, FREEBASS, entirely produced by Scoop DeVille. That combination created pure gold and blessed us with 5 slappers to bump all summer. Today, we get visuals for my personal favorite, the title track. Turn that bass up, and get it for free, below. Video directed by Motzo Bozic. - Okay Player

Mibbs, of Pac Div, has arrived. What began as a collaborative effort between two talented brothers and their longtime friend has now evolved. Mibbs is branching out – new venture, new energy and new sound.Building off of his initial success with Pac Div and their countless tours/shows (Snoop Dogg, N.E.R.D, Kid Cudi, Q-Tip, Nas), Mibbs is finally grabbing the mic on his own. His debut EP, FREEBASS, features five songs produced by chart-topper, Scoop DeVille, with visual complements from Travis Barker’s own Jayson Fox, feature film director, Tommy O’Heaver, and talented newcomer, Lil Chris Robinson. And with five more projects completed, the next year brings EPs with French producer JMV, rising Chicago star, producer/mc Tree G, house music veteran C Penn, and two of LA’s best kept secrets – DertBeats and WoodysProduce. Check the video above and get his latest project. - Hype Trak

In case you didn’t peep it (you really should) Mibbs (of Pac Div) and Scoop DeVille came through with some real slappers on their collabo EP, FREEBASS. Pretty much all 5 tracks hit hard, with the title track being my favorite, and “Rollin’” coming in second. The later just got the video treatment, peep it below. Video directed by Tommy O’Haver. I know Mibbs has plans of doing 4 more EPs with 4 more producers, but umm I’d maybe revisit the Mibbs x Scoop idea again, if I were him (we need more of that). - Okay Player

I’ve been kind of stuck on Pac Div’s Church League Champions since last week, when one third of the group, Mibbs, dropped his lead single with Scoop DeVille. But now I (and you!) have some new material to listen to from Mibbs and Scoop in the form of their joint EP, FREEBASS, which couldn’t have a more fitting name. Not only is it 100 percent free to download, but this thing hits hard with the bass. Scoop keeps it relatively minimalist throughout, working with synth-heavy loops and slapping 808s to complement Mibbs’ methodical, often-hilarious raps. I mean, what other rapper talks about going to a club to take a dump and then rejects his girl’s advances because her breath stinks?

No, Pac Div has not broken up. However, one of its members, Mibbs, is testing the solo waters by dropping a collaborative EP with producer Scoop DeVille called FREEBASS.
Scoop handles all the production on this joint while Like's younger brother handles all the bars over five funky, otherworldly tracks. Word is that Mibbs has five more EPs, all with different producers, already in the stash. Hey, the guy must have plenty of confidence to be dropping music on this release heavy day (June 18).
Also, be sure to check out the video for the project's lead single, "SUPWITHAT," on the next page.

The music industry is a forever-changing beast, but the dynamic of a rap group has always stayed the same. No matter how much success or acclaim a bunch of emcees achieve together, there will always be individual group members who seek out the solo spotlight. Enter underground hip hop crew PAC DIV. While the group’s path the past five years has been a twisty turvy ride, including a short stint at former label home Universal Motown, original member Michael “MiBBs” Stevenson has practiced perseverance, staying true to his artistic beliefs and striving toward the release of a solo endeavor.
Today, that dream is realized with debut offering FREEBASS, a collaborative effort with producer Scoop DeVille. Included on the five-song EP is previously-featured, Booth-approved lead single “SUPWITHAT.” - DJ Booth

It looks like MIBBS (of Pac Div fame) is trying out the solo route, and he couldn’t have picked a better producer to get things started with. MIBBS teams with chart-topping producer Scoop DeVille for his solodebut EP, FREEBASS, which will be out June 18th. To celebrate his bday, MIBBS comes through with his first video “SUPWITHAT.” Video shot and edited by Jayson Fox. That beat slaps (as you’d expect). Better known for his work with West Coast trio, Pac Div, Mibbs has released the second video off his Scoop DeVille-produced EP "Free Bass," exclusively here on The Juice. Similar to the "Free Bass" album artwork, the video's shots blur together giving the rapper an almost ghost-like appearance as he performs in a dark, empty space. The video for "Rollin" was directed by Tommy O'Haver and produced by Judy Bafaro and Elena M. Occhipinti.
Mibbs' "Free Bass" EP is available for free download as of June 18. The EP is one of five created by Mibbs, all of which were completed by different producers. Check it out below:

Mibbs hails from long-hustling Los Angeles trio Pac Div, but he breaks out of the backpack on his debut solo EP, Freebass. Produced by hit-maker Scoop DeVille (Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe, Kendrick Lamar, Das Racist), these five songs combine wavy minimal beatwork with rhymes that range from swaggy to heady to hard. And while "Rollin" coasts by with sparse drums and deep sea submarine pulse, "Supwithat" is built around a screaming/chiming melody that sounds cribbed from My Bloody Valentine's Loveless. All of which is to say, these two cover a good amount of ground while still managing to keep it simple and come in under 20 minutes. Since Mibbs is apparently the master of the EP, he's got five more short-players on deck for the next year — collaborations with Chicago star Tree, French producer JMV, house artist C Penn, and L.A. beatsmiths DertBeats and WoodysProduce. You can stream Freebass below, and download it by visiting Mibbs' site. - Spin Magazine

Building off of his initial success with Pac Div and their countless tours/shows (Snoop Dogg, N.E.R.D, Kid Cudi, Q-Tip, Nas), Mibbs is finally grabbing the mic on his own. In an ever-changing industry, plagued by a formulaic approach, Mibbs is looking the other way and breaking fresh ground. With so much more to offer than just one style, Mibbs plays with varied musical influences and genres, pushing his audible vision past the current constraints in hip hop.
His debut EP, FREEBASS, featured five songs produced by chart-topper, Scoop DeVille, with visual complements from Travis Barkers own Jayson Fox, feature film director, Tommy OHeaver, and talented newcomer, Motzo Bozic. This is what Mibbs has been waiting for. Youve been warned. There are no rules. Anything goes. Mibbs over everything.
