The best kept secret in music
Press
“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent”. Driven by their love to create music, Mercy Fists strives to be unique, while keeping the vintage rock edge. Formed in August 2009, Mercy Fists combines groovy bass lines with melodic vocals and driving guitar to create a high energy event at every show. In early 2010, Mercy Fists was selected as one of the top 10 Christian bands in California and were picked to play in a battle of the bands at none other than Spirit West Coast. Mercy Fists took quick notice at the competition, and were contacted and personally invited to go apply for Best of the Blessed competition in Nashville, TN, where they were once again selected as one of the top 10 bands in the nation. After a long summer of shows, Mercy Fists began to work on their first fully released self-titled album. This album includes a variety of songs such as “Not My Time”, “Damaged” and “Lost control”. On November 7th, Mercy Fists headlined the Mixed Tape Revolution Tour to celebrate the release of their first album and experienced huge success. Now in 2011, the band has started working on their second album, with the release of their new single “Way of this World” due on February 28th. Jules Combareu once said “Music is the art of thinking with sounds”. Likewise, Mercy Fists continues to paint the picture of their depiction of music. - BP
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Local Christian Band Mercy Fists strives to make a significant impact with their music upon release of their debut CD.
Fresno, Calif., (October 28th 2010) – As Christians we believe it is our privilege to make a positive impact on the world. We have found that the best way to do this is through our music. We feel that music is a medium through which everyone can relate. We are dedicated to writing songs that address the issues that are prevalent in modern society and are determined to give back to a community that has so strongly supported us.
It is with great satisfaction that we announce the release of our debut self-titled album on November 5th. To celebrate this accomplishment we will be headlining the Zamar Music Festival at The Star Palace Ballroom in Warnors Theatre on November 7th. The festival starts at four o clock in the afternoon. We are dedicated to making our live shows distinctive and we always deliver a performance that allows the audience to enjoy the experience of our concerts just as much as they enjoy our music. Our everlasting goal is to engage our fans as much as possible.
Our CD release party will not only include live performances but also will feature games and prizes. We are going to be donating a portion of our proceeds to two of our favorite charities, The Teen Challenge and Schools for Schools. We are very impressed with what these charities do and want to help them to continue in their success. Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes. We would not have been able to put this album or this event together without the help of Creative Tile, Fashion Graphics, Enviro Clean, and our very own Street Team. Words cannot express our gratitude to all of them for their contributions to our ambitions. They gave us the helping hand we needed to get started and now it’s our turn to do the same for others in need.
There are a lot of great shows out there. People have plenty of impressive acts they can choose to go see. We are well aware of this yet instead of discouraging us, it inspires us to be unique. We want people to come to our show knowing that it isn’t going to be like any other show they could see. Simply playing our music in front of a crowd is not enough for us. We are not afraid to try new ideas and we are going to deliver a thrilling experience in addition to exhilarating music. So when you come to a Mercy Fists concert rest assured that you are in for a real treat.
