No es solo la música, sino la apariencia y la actitud también. Melody Joy recuerda a Lady Gaga en muchas cosas, sin embargo, a decir de la artista, "si la gente no conoce mi cara, si uso una máscara pero si conocen mi música, yo sería feliz".

Joy espera que después de la salida de sus canciones en iTunes, pueda conseguir mayor atención en la escena del pop. "A veces pido por el cielo y a veces no llego, me quedo afuera. Quiero que lo escuchen en el mundo o al menos en una gran parte del mercado local, aunque sea solo por Internet".

Su primer video, Mechanical Animal, ha superado las 25,000 reproducciones en poco más de dos semanas. Walmart es la locación del producto audiovisual y el video acabó posteado en el blog People of Walmart, en el cual se ve de forma despectiva a los consumidores de la tienda. "Estoy aprendiendo que el odio no es malo, porque te dan muchos views", opinó Melody Joy acerca del tema.

"Una persona me pregunto, por qué eres más conocida, y no lo sé", recordó. Melody Joy tiene participación en la página de Internet de Playboy en donde hace un webcam. "En Playboy, siempre hablo de mi música...

Planet Earth's favorite energy drink addicted ELECTRO POP princess, MELODY JOY, has spent the past year making her mark on NYCs underground music scene, and in that time, has become a recognized figure anywhere that outlandish attire and debaucherous behaviour is welcomed. Those who have encountered her usually have a similar thing to say. She sure is a sweet heart for such a diva. Its true, Melody really does care about people, and it shows in her live performances. Shes not satisfied unless she knows every person in the room is forgetting about their worries and having a great time.
Melody is often compared to LADY GAGA, largely due to her wild exhibitionist fashion sense, and Goth/Fetish/Horror movie influences, but I bet Gaga doesnt know her way around a production studio the way Melody does. All of her music, up until quite recently, has been completely self produced. I cant think of any other Pop vocalist who can boast that. Melody is all about individuality, and in this way, she certainly does stand out in the overcrowded EDM scene, causing many producers to take notice.
