“Mello Mel” is a U.S. born Hip Hop and Drum ‘n’ Bass Producer/Engineer and Sound Designer based in Newark, NJ and resident audio artist at Solo(s) Project House. Mello Mel has been described as "the jack of all trades" graduating from Beatmaker to Producer/DJ. Mello Mel manages to bring all of his musical influences and experiences since childhood, as a trumpet player to the present day in his musical pallet. He combines the instrumentation and the teachings of his music background with the enchanting electronic synth sounds and hard hitting drums of today's sonic landscape. Mello Mel is also a charter member of a super producer group called "TheFreqShow". Which consist of 8 producers/ DJs hailing from northern New Jersey pushing the envelope of beatmaking, production & DJing and bringing it to live audiences in the Tri-State area.
