Bio
Following in the tradition of storytelling songwriters, Melissa Williams is breaking new ground with her honest, poetic lyrics, and her folk/pop style.
Melissa Williams is originally from Huntington Beach, California and now resides in San Diego, California. She has performed throughout Orange, LA, and San Diego Counties and is comfortable in a wide variety of styles. Studying classical voice and opera in college opened her up to a new world of music and vocal style. “I love the thrill of singing classical music and opera. It is so freeing to open up the voice and feel the resonance that comes with that style of singing."
Melissa’s own writing focuses on more of a pop/acoustic style. “I like to think of my music as melodic poetry. I love to tell a story with my lyrics that others can relate to and that makes the listener want to hear more."
Melissa has performed throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and San Diego County in various shows, songwriter showcases, and workshops.
Her music has been featured on various websites and was the featured song for the ChicBlvd.com/Daisy Rock Guitars Contest Giveaway.
Fans have described her music as heartfelt and honest about life, love, and spirituality.

Since moving to San Diego, Melissa has been involved with various art/fashion/music events and loves to be able to blend both music and art into one experience. You can check out her pieces at www.zedenadesigns.com
