Bio
Meghan Andrews is a singer/songwriter whose music and lyrics modernize the folk spirit of the sixties by encompassing the world around her into a new
contemporary sound. Andrews’ career began at an early age. By eighteen she had already spent years as a studio singer in New York before she began
writing and playing solo shows in clubs around Manhattan. As a member of the anti-folk scene, she collaborated on a number of albums with colleagues in New York before releasing her 8-song solo debut, “Center of Gravity” in 2006. After a year of touring, Meghan’s second record “Lights Like This,” was
completed in 2012 with producer Loren Toolajian, who has produced tracks with and for, among others, T Bone Burnett, Alicia Keys, Sheryl Crow, and Jennifer Hudson. Meghan is currently in collaboration with bassist Marco Ferrero and guitarist Al Torre. Most recently, Meghan’s performance with Marco of her latest single “99”, from her upcoming new album, won the 2014 West Coast Songwriters Competition in Berkeley, CA. http://www.meghanandrews.com/
