Bio
Jersey-born, Brooklyn-based Michael Blume has captivated audiences around the globe with his soulful vocals and provocative writing and performance. After graduating from Yale in 2013, he moved to New York City and has become an emerging voice in the artist scene. Blume's performance combines classic soul motifs with counter-normative ideas about love, relationships, and culture. His high energy show has earned him a residency at The Bitter End in 2014. Blume draws on contemporary and old-school r&b, gospel, and soul music, as well as electronic elements that allow his sound to feel at once classic, present, and futuristic. He is currently recording his debut EP.
