"PREMIERE: Maurice Moore’s “C’est La Vie” Is A Reminder To Keep Your Head Up"

It's not easy to write a radio banger but with "C'est La Vie" Ottawa, Ontario's Maurice Moore flexed, with the help of L.A. production duo, Rice N' Peas. It's a peppy pop track with bright horns and kaleidoscopic keys — something that sounds more sunny California than blustery Ottawa — with an easy funk vibe reminiscent of Bruno Mars. It's your Monday morning anthem, alarm clock throwin' tantrums, ketchup stain on your new but that's life, Moore sings. The track is his first single from an upcoming mixtape, The Amber Room, set to drop in early 2017.

"Everybody has those periods of time in life where nothing works in our favor and we feel the universe works against us," Moore wrote in an email to The FADER. "Writing this song was so easy for me because I was writing from a place of 100% honesty and channeling things that have happened in my own life. For anybody going through anything, understand that you are not alone. The bad things that happen to us don't happen because we are bad people, they just happen to us because those are the ups and downs of life." Chin up. - FADER

"Fête and Maurice Moore team up for something "Awesome" [Premiere]"

If you have not heard of D.C. based music collective and label, Fête, you will be familiar with them and their emerging roster of artists soon. With the response they've received after just seven months of pumping out great music, it is safe to say there is no sign of this collective going anywhere anytime soon. Fête continues their string of collaborations by joining forces with "the melodic novelist" and affiliate of Kehlani's Tsunami Mob collective Maurice Moore for a bouncy new single entitled "Awesome."

The synth and thumping beat produced by Toronto producer Krs. are perfectly complimented by the smooth, soulful vocals of fellow Canadian Maurice Moore. If you are looking for something new to add to your music library for the summer, click play on "Awesome". - EarMilk

"Maurice Moore continues to "Please You" with new single [Premiere]"

Maurice Moore is a force to be reckoned with. The 19-year-old Ottawa native has worked with the likes of Wale, Trey Songz, Omarion, and Kehlani. The Tsunami Mob affiliate is back with his new single
"Please You", produced by Instupendo and Auracle, is a bouncy, bass knocking jam about not living your life how others dictate it should be lived. Moore's flaunts his continuously flawless vocals all over the track, and his falsetto will leave you like silly putty in the palm of his hand.
Let this infectious new release from Maurice Moore be your new anthem and be on the lookout for more new music from him soon! - EarMilk

"5 Reasons Why You Need To Check Out Maurice Moore"

Maurice Moore may not be a household name just yet, but we’re warning you now; you do NOT want pass on this rising star.

Maurice is an upcoming artist from Ottawa who has been going back and forth between Canada and the U.S. recently, doing studio sessions and gigs. The 18-year-old, Ottawa-bred singer and songwriter has collaborated with a strong list of Grammy-nominated producers who have worked with Chris Brown, Down With Webster, Miguel and Drake, and hopefully, in due time, he will join those ranks too.

On January 12, 2014, he debuted his EP Paramount, which helped put his name on the map. This year, he has been going hard with new music that has been released exclusively through various R&B blogs.

Here are a few more reasons why you should take in this emerging artist.

1. He Is Multi-talented.

Not only does Maurice sing on his tracks, but he also raps — and the boy has some heavy bars. Vocally, he brings you in with his smooth, spotless falsetto notes. Maurice can sing his face off! He also writes his own songs (NBD)!

2. He Knows R&B.

Although Maurice is just 18, he knows how to transform the essentials of old school R&B into new and refreshing tunes for the industry today.

3. He Is Down-To-Earth

When we interviewed Maurice, he just gave off an incredibly down-to-earth vibe. He’s super chill, humble, modest, and totally relatable. He is also very interactive with his supporters, making sure they feel appreciated on social networks. Maurice believes that, for an artist, “music is a reflection of who you are – your soul, your very essence. If people are connecting to that, they’re connecting with you on a deep, conscious level. So, for me, that’s the greatest feeling ever, honestly.”

4. He Is Working Hard Towards Killing The Game.

He knows who he is, being 18 and working this hard. He’s setting himself up to take over the industry. This year, he has performed at notable events like Grammy Week in L.A., Canadian Music Week in Toronto, and SXSW in Austin. Maurice has dropped three fire singles this year that are internet viral sensations (My Girl, LOL., and Rich). Check it out!

5. He Puts On For His City.

Like Drake puts on for The 6, Maurice puts on for the nation’s capital. We asked him how his hometown Ottawa helped influence the sound of his music and he replied, “Ottawa is the perfectly laid back but it still has a city feel to it, and that is really representative in my music. Mentally, I think I’m super laid back, but I know how to turn up when the time is right.” Now if only he can think of a catchy enough name for his hometown like Drizzy did for Toronto… - MUCH

"NEW VOICES: A New Sound, A New Voice Keeps RnB going"

"Drake. Justin Bieber. The Weekend. Besides being some of the biggest entertainers today, what else do these men have in common? Think about it. Well, for starters, they are all Canadian bred and the hottest around! Canada surely knows how to breed them and with a long list of Canadian entertainers, Maurice Moore is undoubtedly worthy to be on this list." [Excerpt via R-N-B Magazine] - RnB Magazine

"Listen: Maurice Moore Premieres New Single “#MyGirl”"

Rising R&B artist Maurice Moore is continuing his stride to the top. Releasing multiple tracks this year that showcase his musical growth, both vocally and behind the pen, the young Canadian singer is having no issues gaining the attention he’s needed to make everyone remember his name.

Premiering his latest single with ThisIsRnB entitled “#MyGirl,” Maurice lays down his raps and vocals over the fun and flirty beat produced by BNJMN. Singing out, “Why you pretending, babe, like you’re so comfortable? / Ya n*gga don’t do nothin’ for ya, but you doin’ the most,” he lets the girl of his choice know that there’s much more that he can do for her than what she’s dealing with currently.

In addition to the new release, Maurice has premiered episode one of his new “stxries“ series and we have the exclusive info on the creation of what he feels is the best reflection of where he is in life right now. - ThisIsRNB

"WORLD PREMIERE: Maurice Moore - lol."

All eyes North of the Boarder (and South for that matter) is on the upcoming RnBass Star Maurice Moore, who has travelled across Los Angeles & Austin, TX in recent months to perform during Grammy Week and at SXSW. The high-energy, melodic banger “lol“ features Moore flowing over the BNJMN produced record like a butterfly, as he serenades his lady with hopes of getting lucky. This exclusive premiere is backed by massive kicks and 808s that are complimented with lush pads and super gritty synth basses. MM chants “no lol,” letting his lady know that he means business and is ready to end the games.

Be sure to connect to our SnapChat for the Maurice Moore x RnBass SnapChat takeover happening on May 7th, which we anticipate seeing a “day in the life” of Moore LIVE and direct during his Canadian Music Week prep & performance.” Listen to the new RnBass track below. - RNBASS
