MATTHEW FAGAN WORLD ROOTS MUSICIAN
As seen in Australian Guitar Magazine (Issue 80) and Rhythms Magazine. In July 2012 Matthew Fagan appeared on Channel 7 Network " Winners and Losers", performing his own Flamenco Compositions Arabesque and Morning Song. Matthew appears as a Flamenco Guitarist performing in the climax of the first episode for 2012.
Over 1 million viewers watched this episode, and even more is expected when this show is screened in Europe.

Matthew has performed with Billy Connolly, Tommy Emmanuel, Leo Kottke, Bob Brozman, Lucky Oceans,The Buena Vista Social Club and more
Festival appearances include the Port Fairy Folk Festival, National Folk Festival, Canberra, Winfield Festival Kansas, USA and a performance for His Holiness the Dalai Lama at The Parliaiment of World Religions. Matthew continues to tour nationally with his Lord of the Strings Show and "Voyages" flamenco ensemble.
Matthew is the endorsed Ukulele performer for Maton Guitars and joins an elite membership of Maton performers that include Tommy Emmanuel. Matthew presents the Maton Ukulele as a feature in his "Lord of the Strings Concerts" and special Ukulele shows.

“One Day in Nashville" which is distrubuted with MGM/Planet. This is Matthew’s first recording in America. A long anticipated Solo Album, and sounds just as a live show would.
The concert is a fiery virtuosic performance of Bluegrass, Americana, Country, Blues, Celtic, Spanish Contemporary and Original music.
“One Day in Nashville” records for the first time Matthew’s impressive 10-String Arrangements that he composed for touring with Shirley Bassey, Natalie Cole, The Buena Vista Social Club, Michael Crawford and Billy Connolly and material from the live show that Matthew toured the U.S.A., 2010, to the Winfield Festival, Kentucky, Hollywood and Nashville.
A particular highlight on Celtic Steel String is Matthew’s Arrangement of J.S Bach’s Toccata which was very popular when he toured with Scottish Comedian Billy Connolly

Matthew also presents a thrilling workshop for players and fans in conjunction with the show.

Matthew will be touring the U.S.A. in September 2013 in Winfield, Kansas, Nashville and Austin Texas. Matthew has been a finalist out of 500 contestants in the leading international Fingerstyle Guitar competition at the Winfield/Walnut Valley Festival, annually since 2009.
MATTHEW FAGAN AND THE VOYAGES AND JOURNEYS WORLD MUSIC GROUP
Matthew is the music director/ composer of the Voyages Project and the original director of the Voyages World Music Concert which is held each year on Australia Day at Federation Square with audiences of over 20,000 people.
On the 24th of June, Matthew presented 'Voyages" at the St Kilda Town Hall, with over 290 Multicultural Artists performing to a full house.

Later in 2012, the 27th of October Matthew will again present Voyages as another large scale concert at the Kingsotn City Hall
The Voyages and Journeys Group is a collaboration of world musicians led by guitarist and composer Matthew Fagan. The group has performed to audiences of 30,000 as the feature of Melbourne’s Federation Square Australia Day concert and to the Dalai Lama at the Parlaiment of World Religions.
Voyages has sought to explore the various music cultures found in Australia and the world and explore new combinations to create unique Australian experiences of music making.
Thrilling audiences with fiery Arabic world grooves, soaring gypsy violin and guitar, visually audiences are thrilled by Middle eastern belly dance, Flamenco dance and Indigenous Aboriginal dance.
Voyages world music Group peforms as a 4 or 5 piece group from the following list but larger groups are also possible. The line can be tailored to your needs. The members origins are stated and they are all based in Melbourne
