Mary Simon's formula is simple, time-tested. With two albums behind her, the Hamilton singer/songwriter's powerful voice and vision have contributed to years of touring and creative explorations. The amalgamation of her already impressive career will be her third release- No More Maybes, out April 15th, 2010. The album and anticipated summer tour is gaining momentum and far succeeds what her fans have already come to expect. With a new trademark sound that will be climbing the charts, this “gritty roots rock” release is sure to please the fans North and South of the border.
“This album brings out the edgier sound that comes across in a live performance with an alt country flair. I’ve drawn on the strong parallels between my love for folk and rock. Artists such as Ryan Adams, Patty Griffin, Tom Petty and Lucinda Williams all inspire me, and have affected areas of this album and my performance. I’m trying something new this time, I said good bye to the “nice girl” and I’m beginning to realize that sometimes attitude can be attractive – this album is the most real expression of who I am and where I’ve been.” – Mary
As Mary completes the saga in the studio, the most interesting story of all is about to begin. With more than a tour on the horizon the Mary Simon, North American take-over is about to begin. Join her for the ride at www.marysimon.com.
