La voz de esta califoniana se ha convertido, en los últimos tres años, en un referente del pop-rock de calidad en las noches madrileñas. Acaba de pesentar su primer álbum, "Pulleys, Levers, and Other Simple Machines", y, después de hacerse fuerte a golpe de guitarra lejos de su patria, la artista ha decidido con lo que ella define como "su propio arte". adison Cano se crió en California y fue a la universidad en Nueva York. Una oportunidad laboral la trajo a España, concretamente a Madrid, donde se ha quedado y ha conseguido dar forma a su proyecto musical homónimo. Canciones que unen el pop con el folk y desde las que se vislumbra el poso alternativo de la América de los 90. Se declara seguidora de Weezer, Cake o Sublime y, a pesar de que lo suyo son canciones en un registro adulto y menos gamberro, es posible que sus canciones lleven mucho más de lo que parece del sonido californiano de esa década. Una voz potente, unida a una evidente elegancia, hace de canciones como ‘We Might Survive’ o ‘Let Her Run’ carne de éxito inmediato (o de anuncio o de teleserie en primetime). Actualmente se encuentra ultimando la grabación su primer EP, que se titulará ‘Pulleys, Levers, and Other Simple Machines’. Contendrá seis temas y se editará después del verano.

Spring is here, or at least it’s showing signs of its impending arrival, and that means more music, bigger names and shorter sleeves. Madison Cano started hanging out at open mics long before she ever graced their stages. An avid supporter of local music, you could often find her at venues like Sidewalk Cafe, Spike Hill, and Bar 4, not performing, but listening. Despite being recognized for engaging and emotional live performances today, it has been admitted that she was incredibly timid about sharing her songs in public and it took several of her close friends and strong drinks to make it happen. However, once it did, jaws dropped, and that "smiling girl in the corner" soon realized that her kept talent would inevitably become her career.
Just as quickly as her name began popping up at small venues around New York, Madison recieved a job offer that would take her to Madrid, Spain. She promised to be back in a year to continue what she had started...
While in Spain, a friend invited her to play a solo show at his bar, El Gato Verde, and one show quickly turned into offers for more. People in Madrid were captivated by her music, and word spread about an american girl who left audiences at a standstill, making them laugh as easily as she could make them cry. The months passed and working her way through the indie circuit led to a memorable performace at Las Noches Articas, where she met Sergio Valdehita, a piano player from Madrid. The two hit it off right away and soon began looking to piece together a band. Members Tony Cabo, Pablo Ruiz, and Sergio Alarcon were added and the project took off from there.
They were packing houses, building momentum, and drawing media attention in and around the indie scene for their dynamic live performances, provocative and catchy melodies, and Madison’s powerful vocals, which critics have hailed as “jaw droppingly beautiful” and “simply magical”.
It was with a heavy heart that Madison decided to leave Madrid to return back to the states. She says that New York is the city that made and broke her heart, and Madrid put the pieces back together. With an EP Release that Jenesai-Pop called "bound for immediate success" under her belt, devoted fans across Spain, Germany and England, and the support of all of those who gave a spark to her name in Madrid, she returns to New York once again this summer to finally fufill her promise of continuing what she had started.
