Singer/songwriter Lynne Timmes-Carlock is thrilled to announce the release of her most recent full-length album, “Human,” now available at all major online music stores.
Involved in every aspect of the making of the record – from writing, producing, mixing, and mastering - this project has truly been a labor of love for Lynne.

The buzz about Lynne and her music has been steadily growing since the completion of "Human,” a sophisticated pop/rock album with an original sound and style appealing to an extraordinarily wide variety of listeners. Lynne's powerful and unique vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and infectious melodies clearly set her apart from the current influx of female singer/songwriters.

The first single on Lynne's new album, the title track “Human,” combines her melodic, impassioned vocals with a gritty energy brought to the table by producer Shane McConnell. Drums on this and other tracks are provided by acclaimed Sting and Steely Dan drummer, Keith Carlock. “Human” and the twelve additional songs on this album highlight Lynne’s skill for choosing honest and creative lyrics and also showcase Lynne’s talent for writing songs with distinct yet relatable stories and themes, from the dangerous and doomed relationship in “I Must Be Crazy” to the playfully ironic “Perfect Day” and the almost painfully sincere, yet inspirational ballad, “I Travel Light.”

Raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Lynne Timmes took her passion for songwriting and singing to New York City soon after high school to pursue her music career. Once in NYC, Lynne began successfully collaborating with other songwriters and musicians and soon began playing at clubs around town - at the legendary Bitter End, The Elbow Room, Arlene’s Grocery and The Cutting Room, to name a few - performing her growing catalog of songs to an ever-growing number of fans. She played hundreds of gigs, honing her craft.

Lynne, who includes among her musical influences Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple and Sarah McLachlan, eventually attended a BMI songwriting workshop, where one of her songs was chosen by an expert industry panel for a detailed critique.

At the workshop, Lynne met Steve Skinner, whose credits include arrangement and production work for Bette Midler and Chaka Khan, and Arnie Roman, co-author of songs recorded by Cher, Trisha Yearwood, the Pointer Sisters, and Celine Dion. Together, Steve, Arnie and Lynne conceived a number of songs, some of which appear on Lynne's debut album, “Human.”

Television also soon took note of Lynne's talent - her music has been heard on several television shows including Jack & Jill (The WB), As The World Turns (CBS), and on Lifetime Television.

More recently, Lynne sang and co-wrote the song "Same Cry" on Ruff Ryders/Virgin recording artist Jin's latest album, "The Rest Is History,” and a special version of Lynne’s song "So Serious" is featured on Ruff Ryders' Volume Four Compilation CD, "The Redemption." In addition, Lynne’s song “This Is Not About You” was selected by Sting producer and collaborator, Kipper, for a promotional music CD for Bang & Olufsen, which also included tracks by Sting and other notable recording artists. Regarding Lynne’s talent, Kipper exclaims: “I was knocked out by her energy and her vocals and the freshness... I believe she has got what it takes. It's great to hear a female artist breaking the mold!"

In other recent news, Lynne exploded onto RADIO AOL, where she is a featured artist, and her singles, "So Serious," "Human" and "I Must Be Crazy" are in heavy rotation. Women Of Substance Radio is currently playing songs from Lynne's album on their "Best of Indie Pop" show.

In addition, Lynne’s album title track “Human” was recently featured on Appleseed Radio, a station which spotlights the best new indie artists in the world, and on Q104.3 FM, New York’s premier rock station.

While she is now enjoying the increasing airplay and exposure of her recorded music, Lynne continues to find her greatest fulfillment in performing her songs live. Her genuine joy of performing and in being able to share her music is undeniably revealed to her audiences through her honest and heartfelt live performances.

Currently based out of both NYC and Nashville, Lynne continues to put on live shows as often as she can in these two cities as well as in other parts of the country. Lynne’s album is sold online at iTunes, CD Baby and other major online retail outlets.
