Bio
Kenny Split and J-King met at Hostility clothing in the winter of 2009. J was getting sponsored by the Southern California clothing company in which Kenny is currently Art Director of. They didn't immediately hit it off as Kenny a self proclaimed "punk rocker" thought to himself "who is this white boy rapper?" But J proved himself to be a really cool down to earth artist and as they worked together closely on designing J-King's album "Where the Kings Play" the two became close friends. The song "Last Time" on J's album really sparked Kenny's interest as it gave a different feel to the heavy hip hop tracks. Kenny invited J to come over to his rehearsal studio and jam "Last Time" with his band Brodii Split(est.1999). Everyone hit it off and the two groups started gigging together, Brodii Split learned the whole J-King set and even contributed some original songs of their own. Once Brodii Split's fan base and J-King and DJ Souless' fan bases got together there was no going back and the two groups with over 15 years experience combined formed the super group soon to be known to the world as "Low Life Music!!!"
-Since forming the group has been featured on MTV's "Is She Really Going Out With Him", done work with AT&T, Won a spot on the 2009 Van's Warped Tour, received sponsorship deals with Hostility clothing, Bite Me energy drink, and Evolution Printworks. Low Life Music's single "Ana Fontana" has received airplay on San Bernardino's X 103.9 and the high deserts 94.3 K-DUC. Besides the 2009 Warped tour bands LLM has opened for Unwritten Law, D-12, Throwdown, Kingspade, and Shifty from Crazy Town. Front man J-King has been featured on several reality shows such as "Parental Control" "Is She Really Going Out With Him" and "True Life", he's also going to appear on the second season of Fuel TV's "Bubba's World." J-King has over 35,000 myspace friends and over 880,000 total plays which shows his hard working self promotion ethics and his mainstream marketable appeal.
The future looks bright for this young band from the LA/OC/IE who prides themselves on high energy shows, inspiring lyrics, exciting original music, and an overall rags to riches low life to the high life positive message!!!
