Bio
We are three friends from Vancouver, BC. We play music that people say is twee pop. This is probably true, as we are influenced by bands such as Beat Happening, The Bats, Black Tambourine, and The Scrotum Poles. Since we are pretty bad at talking about ourselves, here are some things that other people have said about us:
"All-girl jangle scratch pop from Vancouver, Fans of Heather's Beat Happening or the McTells will throw this on the turntable with confidence. The sleeve art looks kinda garage but this is genuine stripped down dreaminess - points for the insert, where a drawing taught me that Kaity plays guitar, Tracey plays bass, and Cheryl plays drums. Could live without "Lone Wolf" but overall I aa] fan. I will look for more of their records and I hope they play SF soon!"
-Jess Scott, MAXIMUMROCKNROLL #340, September 2011
"Three young women from the Vancouver area don the knee socks and barrettes of the Riot Grrl era for today. From their cartoonish demeanor and sleeve art, they appear to be of the yeti persuasion, a cis-specied ball of charm and winsome hollering. Songs deal with crushes, isolation, and mimes, and the way they sing sort of recalls the atonal chanting of the Shaggs, though the music recalls the lighter side of twee pop (Go Sailor, the Softies, etc). Most of you have heard this already with a different name on it, but there’s no way to deny the joy that playing music seems to bring these folks, and you’ll probably grow to love this single as much as I do. Which is a good bit. Five songs, first pressing of 330 copies."
