If you like quirky pop songs with a rock feel, a touch of classic production thrown in, this is a must. Produced by rockabilly legend and Morrissey sideman, Boz Boorer at his studios in Portugal, it is a real treat.
Louise fronts a tight band and has a way of making songs both fun and fraught at the same time. Louise is just the latest in a long line of North West London born and bred singer songwriters, who have made good. Now based in New York and collaborating with well respected guitarist Rob Richie, she has pulled together a fine debut.
The pick of the bunch is the opener Convenient Forgettable. Thorn and Hang in there are also damn fine tunes. She was on the back of this weeks NME, so wider recoignition cannot be to far away.

Mnetion must be made of the sterling production job Boorer recently completed on Louise Aubrie’s ‘Fingers Crossed’ album....it comes highly recommended. - Malcolm Carter, Penny Black Music
LOUISE AUBRIE - Louise Aubrie is a real do-it-yourself success story in 2011. Recorded in Portugal, mixed in London, mastered in L.A. and designed in NYC, the 2011 CD release of Fingers Crossed is filled with nine cuts of solid rock and pop. Louise is a natural rock singer, there’s plenty of authentic rock atmospheres to make it sound completely original. Interestingly, the album was superbly produced by Boz Boorer—the guitarist / keyboardist who is regarded as one of the pioneers of the British rockabilly movement as well as a long-term co-writer and musical director for Morrissey. Louise gets solid support from her band including guitarist Rob Richie. Fingers Crossed by Louise Aubrie offers proof that a convincing lead singer fronting a tight band with a set of memorable pop-rock tunes never goes out of style. http://www.louiseaubrie.com/ - Robert Silverstein, www.mwe3.com

Bio
Louise first started recording music at the famed Mill Hill Music Complex in north London, and having relocated to New York City, surrounded herself by some of the best musicians to establish her signature sound. Writing all her own material, Louise's debut album, Fingers Crossed..., was released in 2010 to critical acclaim in both the US and the UK, receiving national radio airplay. This album was Louise's first collaboration with Boz Boorer, one of the pioneers of the British rockabilly movement, and long term co-writer and musical director for Morrissey. Mr. Boorer produced and engineered Fingers Crossed... at his studio in Portugal.
Louise's highly anticipated follow-up album, Time Honoured Alibi, was released in March 2013, with Mr. Boorer once more at the helm, both as producer and as a co-writer with Louise on a new track.
