Bio
Long Weekends search for common ground between early rock and late 70's punk. Their debut EP "Weather Weather" makes use of dreamy garage rock chords, steadfast post-punk beats and crooning vocals.
The band started in the fall of 2010 when three friends joined together to express a shared enthusiasm for bands like Wire, The Wipers and the Beatles.
Within two months they were recording in Halifax studio Echo Chamber Audio to create "Warmer Weather", a four song EP released as a free digital download.
After posting the EP online, the band was invited to play Sappy Fest, the Halifax Pop Explosion, Long Live the Queen festival and Pop Montreal.
The band is currently working on a 7" for Noyes Records due this November.
