LONELY BROOK TO RELEASE DEBUT EP ‘DO FOR YOU’
Brooklyn, New York’s Lonely Brook arrive on the alternative indie pop scene with their debut self released EP ‘Do For You’ this winter. The five track EP channels the unique genre defying instrumental and vocal writing for which Lonely Brook has been turning industry heads at live shows throughout New York City over the past six months.
Lonely Brook’s high energy with untouchable intimacy is as if Arthur Russell and Trombone Shorty joined Jamie XX and set up in a Brooklyn Loft. All hailing from graduate music performance study at Stony Brook University on Long Island, Australian singing cellist Richard Vaudrey, American trombonist/vocalist James Hubbard and electronic producer/percussionist Steven Sehman mould influences from classic early cinema and indie folk song into the popular alternative form. The EP recorded on a single weekend in Boston with Mike Davidson Recording (the result of MDR’s ‘Indie Spotlight Competition’) reflects the sheer virtuosity Lonely Brook brings to the indie music stage.
Lonely Brook’s infectious depth of original sound and musicality make them an undeniable pick as one of Brooklyn’s breakout bands of 2012. Currently booking nationwide festivals and venues for 2012 Lonely Brook return to their musical birth place March 1st supporting indie songstress My Brightest Diamond for Stony Brook University.
