On my recommendation, Lisa Godino has already contacted you about her new album “No Longer Gray or Blue”. You simply have to listen to her songs. I call these songs “flashbacks” because the words are like unprocessed emotions and memories from soldiers who died more than 140 years ago. And, because of that “flashback” quality, these songs speak even to the current pathos faced by soldiers in Iraq . It is as if these soldiers and all soldiers are speaking through her. Furthermore, her voice is unforgettable. It is totally honest, raw and powerful. The instrumentals are superb. Each song is haunting.
I have been listening to the Village for about a year and a half. I appreciate your mission and the music you play, but if you fail to take this new artist seriously you will be making a huge mistake. Your listeners will be stunned by the power of these songs. I know Lisa will gladly send you a full CD but snippets can be heard on their website at: http://www.plumrunband.com/Music/music.html. Additionally, you can hear the entire title song by clicking http://www.aboutstlukes.com/sites/STLUKES/edithtml/dynamic/Images/lisa%20godino%20-%20no%20longer%20gray%20or%20blue.mp3 or by visiting out church website: http://www.aboutstlukes.com/dynamic.asp?id=Great_Sunday_Music.

Bio
With the voice of an Angel, Lisa has a special gift that captures the souls and spirits of others in her songs. Coloring a picture with her dynamic tones and powerful lyrics, she puts you right there in the song.
From the battlefields of Gettysburg, to the fields of Kentucky with Henry's mighty mules, she has mastered the fine art of story telling.
Growing up in Raritan NJ, Lisa was influenced by a variety of music and as a child always enjoyed composing poems. Lisa has included some of her life experiences in her songwriting.
Lisa also works with her partner Chuck Winch, as a duo "Plum Run". They have just completed a wonderful all original album on the American Civil War, entitled, "No Longer Gray Or Blue". This album features Bob Harris on guitar and Travis Wetzel on fiddle. These are songs of the civil war soldier, very heart felt stories with reality like no others of today.
In addition to her music career Lisa has driven an 18 wheeler for 20 years, using her time behind the wheel to craft her beautiful songs. Lisa is currently working on her debut album, songs of love, youth, heartache and joy. Jazzdate and So In Love are two songs chosen to premiere this album.
