Linear North
Billed as a "night of noise and confusion" these three bands have a lot to live up to, and odds are they will rise to the occasion,
Linear North is a psychedelic garage band from Albany that includes Bob Forget, Shane Williams and Tom Patrizio. They drone with a capital D, with haunting tunes stacked with righteous riffs and thundering beats.
Also from Albany, Yoma is a post-rock, post-metal band whose members are Baird Buchanan (guitar), Brendan Hoyt (bass) and Seth Maset (drums). On their CD ''Earthbound,'' they play huge-sounding songs like "Phosphorus" and eerie, ethereal ones like "Sons of Set."
Know Nothing hails from Buffalo and plays lower-than-low guitars with clean regular guitars sprinkled on top, and eventually, a tiny voice hovers above it all, which is quite enticing and engaging. If you like big guitars, bigger drums and time travel, this could be for you.

Bio
We are a musical trio based out of Albany, NY. When it all began, we were strangers trying to play music and have fun. It evolved into something completely different; Linear North.
As a band we really look up to the staples like Black Sabbath, Sleep, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, but didn't want to recreate a sound. With bands like Dead Meadow, The Black Angels, Witch, and Brian Jonestown Massacre doing their thing really urges us to set the bar in our own way. As a band, Linear North, we try and create our own sounds with our own edge. We all come from different musical backgrounds; jazz, metal, rock and roll, but have a common musical interest and a goal; bring our music live and communicate it to our crowd as well as have the crowd communicate with us. And we do all of this with as much much reverb and delay as we see fit.
