"Artist's of the Week Limelife bring a diverse mix of indie punk rock to the table." - MTVu
"Their music rocks and bounces, and I still want to know how the lead singer manages to say/sing all of those words so quickly without stumbling." - Barry Levine, Punk Director
And The Winner Is....
After 4 months of incredible bands and singers we have finally arrived with the winning band. You Bring The Talent is proud to announce Atlantic Records newest signing: Limelife.
The first time I watched the video for Limelife's "Satisfaction Guaranteed" I knew it was something special. Here's a band that doesn't take itself too seriously but still has the chops to pull off the music. I immediately felt Iggy & The Stooges and some flavor of The New York Dolls coming out of Limelife. Here's the video.
Limelife's music doesn't try to be anything more than it is. Power pop with a punk edge. It's a trio of guys that met up in Hermosa Beach, California by way of South Carolina. Alex is the lead singer and guitarist, Beezer plays bass and Phillip in on drums.
My favorite song is "Obsess" -- the writing of both music and lyrics goes deep. That was an important thing to all the judges. We wanted to make sure that the artist we chose could have the best shot at a real career in the music business. And if you don't have the songs it's tough to make it very far.
Limelife has a great look and energy to them.
We will be welcoming Limelife to the stage at the House Of Blues on the Sunset Strip April 28th. Then it's off to the studio with Peer Music to record and produce the EP that will come out on Atlantic Records.
Congratulations to Limelife for bringing the talent!!

Tonight’s musical entertainment at the House of Blues was commenced at the cocktail party by Limelife, the winners of the Uber.com “Battle of the Bands” competition. The South Bay Los Angeles natives beat out over 2,000 other acts to gain the coveted designation and you could tell the crowd was impressed by the trio’s melodic rock.

Loud and fast punk music. Reminds me of Weezer with more kick-ass attitude in the vocals. Not much to say here except they’re fun lyrically and they’re here sonically. ‘Sucker’ is an addictive romp of a song about the life of an underappreciated fool who finds himself an unexpected sugar daddy. Did I mention this music is fast? I was so busy bobbin along to this disc that it didn’t dawn on me until the second or third listen that not everything was as happy-go-lucky as it appeared upon first listen. - Unsigned - The Magazine
