No, not The Woodrow Band, which is still recruiting, y’all. We’re talking about Light Horse Harry, the Western swing/blues/rock band composed entirely of Woodrow Wilson High School students and one alum. Singer/guitarist Zach Youpa says they are working on manufacturing CDs, and they have a show in Austin Sept. 21. Youpa has a voice that reminds me of Billy Joe Armstrong of Greenday, but on “Ain’t Your Way,” he surprised me with some pretty soulful blues singing for a Lakewood kid. It’s definitely worth a listen. - Advocate Magazine

Light Horse Harry was founded in 2011 in Dallas, TX by four musicians who have a profound love for all things music. Initially starting out as a hobby, the band soon gained a devoted following and began playing to larger and larger audiences. Their debut CD released in August 2012 received much acclaim from far and wide and is beginning to make shockwaves within the music industry. In every endeavor, Light Horse Harry brings along a strong sense of skill, professionalism, and overall fun.
