Pure Power Pop at its Best!

Station Name: Sandman's Songbirds
Any tune that bleeds influence from one of my fave groups of all time, The Who, simply must get some play on the Songbird's station. And Lieder captures the sound of early Who as well as anyone out there. Quite dynamic. Rock on Lieder!

"You've put together a nice 3-song demo and it's pretty impressive ..... I think you're onto something here! I like the songs and I like the vocals--you sound honest!"

Bio
Formed in the spring of 2007, “Lieder” (which means “songs” in German) was personally given its name by rock legend Pete Townshend of “The Who”.
“Lieder”, a trio based out of northern New Jersey, is an original band who displays an aggressive style of power pop, steeped in the tradition of American and British rock and roll.
Being influenced by ‘The Who” itself, lead vocalist/guitarist Mike Kosturko produces an infectious brand of memorable songs with the potency and precision of any other established artist.
Joe LaPara, a committed disciple of rhythmic progression, lays down meaty yet melodic bass lines, which holds the bands sound together.
While commanding a solid tempo, drummer Ron Pasanda adds a flourish of strategically placed fills, without disrupting the songs relevance.
Although they have had much success recording, playing live is what this band thrives on. They revel in the immediate response to their energetic style of play and challenge anyone not to enjoy their enthusiasm.
All three have come together from years of experience to unite their influences into one enormous collaboration and celebration of a genre that has seemed to dissipate over the years.
