"Preview/New Music:Let's Get Lost"

Seattleites, we have a fresh excuse to leave the house this Thursday. Let’s Get Lost are going to entertain their way into the hearts of their audience. With something of a smorgasbord of sounds, Let’s Get Lost fills the room with jolly goodness. Nick Shadel and Peter Kowalczyk only credit themselves with playing guitar, piano, and singing, but with an added orchestra in their new album Rotten Apples, they have a gaggle of instruments including keys, strings, guitar, bass, drums, horns, and vocals pulling it all together. This is no small feat. With all of those instruments flying through the listeners ears, it would be easy to sound discombobulated at best; thankfully, everything is in it’s right place, and the vocals are strong and fluid. Let’s Get Lost is very easy to listen to.

In the below song “Carousel,” Let’s Get Lost launches head first into their alt-folk story telling. Staccato thumps of the piano married with charming vocals create the atmosphere of narratives told through silent film. Paradoxical as it might sound, there is something about Let’s Get Lost’s approach that creates fast moving black and white video frames in the listeners mind that are artistic in thought and innocent in nature. Let’s Get Lost are a contemporary look at classic American roots.

Let’s Get Lost are not playing with a full orchestra this Thursday, but it is still guaranteed to be a good show. Rotten Apples is due out in March, so be on the look out. Enjoy the songs below, and I’ll see you at the show! - Seattle Show Gal

"Exclusive: Let's Get Lost"

"We here at SSG have recently had the pleasure of spending some time with Let’s Get Lost, and since doing so have decided one thing: We are completely sold on their music! These two gentlemen are representing the Top Hat neighborhood of South Seattle, and are creating a sound that’s all their own. They carry into their music influences that range from literature and philosophy, to good conversation and friendship. Mostly they just write about life, but their perspective is a little deeper than your average indie band. Their song writing and musical arrangements are nothing short of fantastic; they’ll have the listener singing along for sure. After you’ve taken in the aesthetic of their sound and give the lyrics a good listen, it’s apparent that these guys are trying to tell you something."

"Let's Get Lost - Rotten Apples Release"

“Let’s Get Lost is quite symphonic…If you listen to their music you will definitely get the feel for that, there are lots of echoes of The Beatles, and Queen, and even the Beach Boys; it’s very dynamic and interesting music.” “With good, encouraging lyrics, good songwriting…It reminds me so much of Abbey Road, these songs have strong ties to that Abbey Road sensation.” - LA Talk Radio with Guy Towe
