"Based around the most addictive, sunshine sprinkled riff you're likely to hear anytime soon,"

Based around the most addictive, sunshine sprinkled riff you're likely to hear anytime soon, "Nostalgia" is a driving piece of unashamed, sweet surf-pop in it's very finest form. "Forever" (which is also a free download), on the other hand, steers away from the "ouuu's" and all round niceness, and instead chooses to place the emphasis on the bands thrashing guitar work. And it clearly benefits from it, sounding like a mash up of your favourite shoegazeish bands that you just can't quite put one single finger on. - One For The People

"Their music flows easy like butterfly wings."

Their music flows easy like butterfly wings. Dreamy melodies puts them on the path of so many indie bands before them but there is something unique and catchy about it that gets a hold on you. - Without a Hoe

"Lazyeyes make music for smoky autumn mornings."

Brooklynites Lazyeyes make music for smoky autumn mornings. Crisp guitar lines and warm, softly spiraling, harmonies flood ‘Nostalgia’ and melt into a beautifully woozy blast of guitar-band-goodness. - Shiny Shiny New

"Lazyeyes sound strangely unique"

Lazyeyes sound strangely unique, mixing together elements of fast-paced alternative, guitar-driven punk, and subdued lo-fi. I'm having trouble figuring it out, which could be part of the reason for my interest in them. There is a tinge of beachy infusion, something most notably present in "Nostalgia", a beautiful song that rides the same groove Beach Fossils have been fantastic at producing. The riff that propels the tune is high-pitched and clean while the vocals are blanketed in a film of dreamy fuzz, extending a hand out to those keen on surf rock. - Audio Splash

Bio

Lazyeyes is a three-piece from Brooklyn, New York. Formed in the summer of 2012. The band released a self-titled EP the following January 2013 and was immediately heralded by The Deli Magazine as “Best Psych / Shoegaze band in New York”. After a sold-out record release show at legendary Williamsburg venue Glasslands, the Lazyeyes EP garnered widespread acclaim from underground music bloggers. Best New Bands described the band’s single “Wait” as “an excellent example of the group’s ability to erupt at an expansive, pyrotechnic level all the while sharply delivering pop-laden hooks.” And the blog Purple Sneakers pronounced the EP as “a moody and anthemic record, equal parts shoegaze and dream pop.” Soon after, tracks from the EP were featured on BBC Radio, XM Radio & various other FM stations worldwide. The band was founded by guitarist / vocalist Jason Abrishami (The Twees), who was joined by Paul Volpe (Triple Cobra) on bass and Jeremy Sampson (Eastern Hollows) on drums. The band plans to tour behind their up-and-coming EP.
