The Lazerhawks (formerly known as the BeesKnees) are a group of musicians who find a creative voice in the world of glitch-pop dance rhythms and analog synthesizers. They've been under the new moniker for a little under six months now, but their mission to make the world dance is still very much intact. This show, a Ground Lift Media Showcase, will be their first live performance together, and it'll be a great way to cap off a night full of golden-era inspired artists.(J. After playing all over Chicago under the name, BeesKnees, 3 musicians went into their fortified studio to record. Upon emerging from the studio as LAZERHAWKS, they decided to wage war on the dance floor. Clutching their newly recorded E.P. entitled T.S.P., or Thrift Store Panties, they began commanding the dance floor wherever they played. Some would call it funk, others might call it rock, and still others might say they had lost their minds, but one thing is for sure, the greasy beats, pounding bass, soaring sax, and futuristic guitars left no doubt as to their mission. Their songs are simply synchrotronic radiational operatic funk electrons encountering magnetic fields of gold. Here come the motherfuckin’ LAZERHAWKS!
