This album was something that I needed to make at the time to come to terms with the end of my relationship with this person as a whole. It was an outlet for my feelings that were all over the place. I felt lost, alone, helpless, betrayed, and angry. I started working on it only a couple weeks after the relationship had ended and only a few months after I released my last album River. Things seemed to get worse between us after the breakup, which made all these feelings I was bottling up intensify even more. This made the songwriting part rather easy, since I had so much to say and express and I wanted to do it in a format that some of my favorite artists had done their albums in. I knew it would be ambitious to make it a concept album but I didn’t care. I was willing to conquer the challenge even if it came out messy in a couple spots. I had extra help from my buddy Stephen Clay, who acted as a creative director on the project and even helped make a music video for Sirens, which the footage was sadly lost. Also I made the cover myself in photoshop and I still think it properly matches the music on the project. - Voiceover Project
