La Broken English

In High school we would mix old cassette tapes and cds of our favorite bands such as the strokes, the shins, and the Smits. When we entered college we got sick of listening to dubstep. We wanted to make real music for our friends to listen too. We decided to keep our music pure, with just two guitars, bass, vocals, and drums. There is nothing better then being in a band with your best friends.

We get inspired to write songs when we are hanging out as friends. Whether we're riding our bikes though town, hiking tough Malibu, or just hanging out at the beach. Our songs are about having fun. We mainly write fast up beat indie surf rock music.

We don't look like a typical indie band. Our singer is half japaness/mexican, bass player is filipino/El Ealvadorian, and guitar player is mexican/white. We like to juggle drum sticks, trash on a tambourine, and have fun when we are on stage. although we play fast indie music, our guitar and drummer still think they are in a punk band - like rancid.

We mainly play house parties and underground shows. Just because we enjoy the authentic feel of music. We would sell copies of our CD. We had friends that would sneak us into recording studios so we can give away our music for free.

Broken English was made to make authentic indie rock music for our friends and fans to enjoy.
