Kyle Elliott & Voodoo Soul Band
Kansas City, Missouri, United States
Bio
Kyle David Elliott started his musical journey in Kansas City, MO in 1996, at the age of 13. Playing at school dances and private parties, Kyles unique style began to take shape. By 1999, he was a regular in Missouri's club scene from Kansas City to Branson playing with local classic rock/blues bands.
Kyle formed the blues/rock band Lost Cause when he was 18 and enjoyed regional success with the release of two CDs, one of which was a live concert taken from their second place performance at The Battle of the Bands at Longview College in 2003. In 2008, Kyle stepped out front as a singer/songwriter/guitarist and formed Kyle Elliott and Voodoo Soul, a fierce blues/rock band with an explosive style.
In early 2010, this funky blues band saw the addition of Ben Eisiminger on keyboards, bringing a whole new dimension to their sound. Later that year in August, 2010, the band won the King of the Roots: Kansas City competition.
As the leader of Voodoo Soul, Kyle Elliott was nominated in the top 50 guitarists worldwide in the Hendrix Revolution by award winning producer Marino De Silva. Signing with Drive Records in 2011, the band released their debut album Northern Sky to rave reviews. Live shows are full of high energy modern blues guitar rock with catchy rhythms and a touch of soul, yet a tasteful mix of classic and traditional blues rounds out the set.
