Bio
Kyle Bryant & The Noonday Drivers are an alternative rock band based out of Mobile, AL. Comprised of Kyle Bryant, Willie May, Mike Johnston, and Tyler Clanton, they each bring around 10 years of diverse musical influences to the table, including folk, blues, rock, and pop. As a band, they draw influence from bands like Death Cab For Cutie, needtobreathe, and OneRepublic.
Kyle Bryant and Willie May began playing music together at church in high school, and developed a lot of their musical abilities in that arena. Willie and initial drummer Josh Roberts played together in a rock band in college, while Kyle moved off to Tuscaloosa for school. When Kyle moved back to Mobile in 2009, the three got back together to play some of Kyle and Willie's original songs at local coffee shops, and eventually recorded an acoustic-style EP, "The Attic EP." They continued to write and perform, moving from coffee shops to bars, restaurants, and churches. As their sound continued to grow, they brought in Tyler Clanton as an additional guitarist, who had similar musical experiences as the rest of the band. In the summer of 2011, they released a four-song EP, “Few and Far Between." In late 2011, Mike Johnston stepped in for Josh on the drums. Most recently, they have finished their latest five-song EP "STATIONS," which will be released in June 2012. The new record brings in a new sound, being more reminiscent of Foo Fighters and The Goo Goo Dolls.
