Krishna Jones

KRISHNA JONES is one of the most respected guitarist, singer/songwriters and producers in Australia. He made his first impact on the Oz music scene in the mid 90s with the Aria nominated rock band, JUICE. JUICE received high rotation on Triple J with the albums, Wine of Life and Fractured.

In 2000, Krishna formed JUGGERNAUT with his brother Amarnath Jones. JUGGERNAUT were a popular live rock band that built a strong fan base in Sydney toured Australia extensively. JUGGERNAUT released the album "Burn" in 2002 with rave reviews and was well received for its powerful guitar based rock and huge vocals. Krishna has enjoyed some of the best supports the musical world has offered.

Michael Hutchence of INXS fame asked Krishna to join INXS on a national tour. Tim Farris also of INXS produced one of JUGGERNAUT'S Eps and has been a long time supporter and fan. Krishna has also supported international bands such as Soundgarden, Radiohead and the Tea Party. Krishna formed The Dealers Blues Band, a celebration of Blues music; The Dealers Blues Band recently toured Australia to sell out shows and a legion of fans.

It is through his blues band that he made a connection with vocalist and keyboard player Mitchell Anderson and together they formed an original band called KRAKATOA which is a songwriting collaboration from the two. Krishna and Mitchell's years of performing and recording experience have resulted in the powerful band that is KRAKATOA. KRAKATOA have recently finished their debut album BLOW which is due for release in 2008.

In late 2006 early 2007 Krishna started working on his debut solo album "THE RAZOR'S EDGE" which was born from his love of rock, blues, funk, and reggae. It tells a story of true life and combines songwriting experience with raw power and groove. With a handpicked selection of some of the best musicians in the country "THE RAZOR'S EDGE" is one of Krishna's finest albums to date.

The first EP "HOOK, LINE AND SINKER" is due for release in Jan 08 and the full album "THE RAZOR"S EDGE" is due for release in June 2008 through Creative Vibes in Australia.

Krishna Jones is currently seeking record labels in different territories around the world for the release of his debut album.
