I: Why did you start Dj’ing?
KJ: In the beginning i just wanted to make music that me and the homies could jam to during the kickbacks we always had. I mean i have always been in love with music just never really had a real opportunity to create it, like i tried to sing, NOPE i was horrible then i tried to rap and that again was a fail. But when i touched those turn tables the first time it was like magic, it was so seamless like my hands were one with the record. So i basically turned this passion into a paycheck because who doesn’t love to get paid to play music, travel and kick it with the homies, so i never looked back and kept it going.
I:What motivates you to keep going?
KJ: First thing first, my family next the money because with the money i can live comfortably and help out my family plus i can get a really fast car and break some laws lol. No but seriously my family drives me over everything without them i would not be here nor be as successful as i am today.
I: How has Dj’ing contributed to your life?
KJ: It has actually made me a better person it has taught me to not waste time or care about things i can’t change and to be more versatile in life because you never know what could happen at a show. It could go perfect and everything is right on or it could be horrible show with no sound system and the performing artist is too lit to remember the lyrics to their music so you have to save the show. I’ve learned a lot while doing and met some great people so dj’ing is one of the best things that could have happen to me.
