If you listen to radio in St. Louis, New Orleans or Santa Fe, N.M., you've probably heard Kirsten Proffit's song "Redemption Day", which is being worked to triple A stations.
If you've stayed at a Wyndham Hotel, you've heard Proffit in the hotel chain's common rooms and as part of the music preloaded into the room's digital alarm clock.
If you watch TV, you've heard Proffit on "Friday Night Lights", "One Life to Live", and "Smallville".
And if you go to the movies you've heard several of Proffit's songs as part of the music that's piped into the theater before the film starts...
If you still haven't heard Proffit, you can hear her singing the national anthem May 21st at Dodger Stadium. - Billboard
Kirsten Proffit "Lucky Girl" (Broken Arrow Records) – It's not surprising that singer-songwriter-guitarist Kirsten Proffit picked up best female artist honors at
the Orange County Music Awards last year, and won a nomination for best female acoustic performer earlier this year.
On her aptly titled "Lucky Girl," Proffit displays her knack at fashioning infectious, mainstream pop that has landed her tunes on radio, as well as in films and on television. In fact, the first single off her 12-song debut (the
confessional folk rocker "Something I Can't Be") was recently heard on the NBC series "Friday Night Lights."
Proffit has some first-rate assistance on "Lucky Girl," with guitarist Michael Lockwood (Fiona Apple), guitarist Warren Huart (Howie Day), drummer Rick
Neigher (Michelle Branch) and keyboardist Doug Nahory (Alanis Morissette) contributing to the project. - OC Register
OC Music Awards winner of Best Female Artist Kirsten Proffit has released a slick new disc on Broken Arrow Records that will earn
top-shelf status in your singer – songwriter collection. The production is excellent, and
the lyrics hit home with poignant metaphors and simple truths about relationships that everyone can relate to: “it would take Picasso to paint this clear / the sound of Mozart to make you hear / the faith of Moses to set you free/ that’s something I can’t be.” Catch her at the Rusty Pelican in Newport Beach or check her calendar at www. kirstenproffit. com. - OC Metro Business
