Bio

The concept of the “Early Bird Gets The Worm” is an old concept. It means "the one who arrives first, has the best chance for success, or to be the first to useful or vital resources. I chose this concept for my brand because it carries the essence of HARD WORK ETHIC & DISCIPLINE! To have a strong independent grind and hustlers spirit. The discipline, as 2Pac rapped, “to be up before the sunrise, quicker than the drug dealers,” and the work ethic to acquire success. In the eternal words of OutKast, “You betta get up! get out! & get something!”

A Rapper, Songwriter, & Barber from Long Beach, CA. Innovative and independent, Kingston started in the business as a writer at 18, Co-writing with then mentor, Leon Sylvers lll on Gladys Knight’s 2015 independent release “Another Journey ” where he helped add lyrics and melody, mainly attributed to the record “Old School.” Knight would go on to perform the record on the now canceled “Queen Latifah Show.”

Currently working as an independent artist, The Barber’s discography includes a 6 track EP titled "WAVES", released in 2017, and a 2019 full length offering “King Pen” Now Available for digital download on all major streaming platforms.
