Micah is a International Belizean American singer, songwriter born and raised in Chicago, IL . Due to the continued love and support of the Belizean people Micah has gained plenty of international success in Latin America. Outside of the Chicago land area Micah has toured in Mexico , Belize and Guatemala . Micah aspires to be recognized as a cultural ambassador of Belize and introduce the world to its Rich Latin American /Caribbean culture.
Born into a musical family Micah was exposed to a vast variety of music ranging from Beethoven, Bob Marley, Selena Quintanilla, the Fania All-stars, to greats like Prince and The Jackson's. Micah began to discover her love for music at a young age when she was introduced to instruments by her maternal grandmother who helped Micah develop and hewn her skill. Micah began to play Piano at the tender age of 5 where she was first introduced to the stage threw piano recitals. Later she learned how to play Clarinet, drums and percussion's. Micah developed a keen ear for Rhythm and melodies at a young age which played a major role in her acceptance to a top 10 in the U.S fine arts and academic school.
In Micah's 3rd year of high school she discovered a new passion for acting when she mustered the courage to audition for theater at Gallery 37 School of the advanced performing arts. After her audition Micah was immediately accepted into a class of 21 students out of 2 thousand applicants. Micah never received formal training for acting or performed a monologue in front of an audience prior to that audition. After Graduating high school Micah wanted to continue her career as an actress and in her attempts to find an agent was picked up and signed to Ford Modeling Agency. After Battling her internal love for music Micah decided to leave Ford Modeling Agency in order to pursue a Singing career in music in which she was signed to her first record deal.
Micah has opened up for big name acts such as Miguel and headlined shows for major radio stations such as Kiss Fm .Micah is also a humanitarian headlining donation concerts for organizations such as toys for tots. She has also received plenty of notoriety from hosting and performing on various cable TV shows in Chicago and Belize. Form the age of 5 Micah has received many awards and accolades for various performances in fines arts and academics. With a Grammy being the ultimate goal for this singer. Micah claims that she is just getting started !
