Life Adventure EP
Kenneith Perrin’s Life Adventure EP is the follow up to his 2007 debut release It Took So Long. This six track EP features a healthy mix of rock, pop, and R&B with some soul added in for good measure. It is an interesting collection of songs with an emotional, spiritual, and uplifting message behind them all.
The first thing that will catch you attention is Perrin’s soothing and melodic “Deep Dreams,” which opens the EP. His voice is unique and distinct and I like it. I cannot think of anyone that Kenneith reminds of on this track. The song starts off slow, but begins to pick up when the chorus is heard for the first time, making for a smashing song. Starting off with a monologue, “All The Blessings Flow” has a nice groove to it that makes it the type of song that you can really move to. Changing up the tempo with a dramatic slow down, “Colors” is the song that Perrin really shines on. His vocals are front and center on this one with only a little input from background singers. I am sure that people will enjoy the positive message of the song.
The energetic and passionate “Everything” picks the EP right back up. Next up is the very short “The Way It Goes.” With a run time of less than ninety seconds, the song is basically an interlude, a throwaway track almost. An EP is too short to have a throwaway track on it. I think that this song is out of place and is better suited on a full length album where interludes are better suited. The EP comes to an end with “Higher (Remix).” It is a jamming song and it has a great beat that had me listening to it over and over again, ending this EP on a positive note.
Kenneith Perrin’s Life Adventure EP should get fans psyched for a full-length album. It has a variety of musical styles that range from pop to R&B with a great voice to cap it all off. Despite that throwaway track, it would not hurt to give this one a listen because this EP is a solid effort.
Key Tracks: Deep Dreams, Colors, Higher (Remix)

Eclectic and passionate inspirational singer/songwriter/entertainer, Kenneith Perrin, just released his latest EP entitled “Life Adventure”. This album finds Perrin effortlessly creating songs that easily flow as a mini-soundtrack commenting on the daily challenges that life brings us.
Kenneith’s musical roots consist of R&B, dance, gospel, and new wave music. “Growing up, I loved watching reruns of Soul Train, American Bandstand and Solid Gold. Those shows introduced me to great songs by great artists.”
While earning his law degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Kenneith tapped into songwriting. “I’d be in class struggling to concentrate, because I would hear these melodies. Inevitably, I would furiously write them down while hurriedly excusing myself from class.”
It’s those early tunes that would lead to many new musical adventures including being a two time ASCAP PLUS Award Winner and performing internationally in Germany, The Czech Republic and across the United States.
Live entertaining is a cornerstone of Perrin’s music career. While respectively residing on both the west and east coasts, his worldwide 2012 tour will cover birthday parties, churches, civic clubs, coffee houses, corporate functions, festivals and American Veterans lodges. The unique inspirational pop/R&B stylings of his songs appeal to a variety of music lovers.
The “Life Adventure” EP is the first in a collection series. Other musical forays to follow include special selections of inspirational jazz, gospel, and rock. The collection series promises to deliver many innovative tunes exemplifying a fresh fine collection of Perrin’s vocal, songwriting, and performing abilities.

KENNEITH PERRIN INVITES US ALL ON HIS LIFE JOURNEY
February 28, 2012 | by Skope
As you all know I love technology. I just bought my second Roku and I just am ready to tell Comcast to get rid of my phone & cable but leave the Internet access. Its amazing that Comcast wants over $150 per month and Roku offers more content for close to nothing. Let me get back on track though as I welcome Kenneith Perrin to the show. Kenneith caught my attention with his new EP ‘Life Adventure’ and it’s uplifting, soulful, and refreshing. In this crazy world Kenneith offers a break from the insanity of war and poverty thru music. Join us today as Kenneith speaks on his ‘Life Adventure’ series, being an optimist, the passing of Whitney Houston, and much more. Reach out to Kenneith @ kenneithfanclub@yahoo.com!
Stoli: Where are we talking from today and are you concerned the US will go to war with Iran?
Kenneith Perrin: I am currently taking a break at a rehearsal studio in the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia. I am really thrilled about gearing up for the spring segment of the “Life Adventure EP” tour.
As for the US going to war with Iran, I certainly hope this does not happen. It would be devastating for both countries if it does.
Stoli: How long have you been doing music and explain how you got started?
Kenneith Perrin: I have been publicly performing since the age of 6. I grew up singing in the church. Eventually I started singing for weddings, banquets, family reunions, civic events, and corporate functions. While in high school and college, I performed in unique vocal ensembles and bands, including my father’s jazz /R&B group called “Soft Tones”. Although I earned a minor in vocal music performance in college, it wasn’t until law school that I started taking songwriting seriously. Ever since then, I have been combining the elements of singing, songwriting, and entertaining to establish myself as an artist.
Stoli: Is Kenneith Perrin the name your parents gave you or your musical alias?
Kenneith Perrin: Kenneith Perrin is the name my parents gave me.
Stoli: I am listening to your EP – ‘Life Adventure.’ How long were you working on that EP and how may songs did you have to choose from?
Kenneith Perrin: The EP took a total of three months to complete.
It was really tough choosing the songs for the EP because I wanted to deliver a solid variety of tracks. For example, I chose “All The Blessings Flow” from the debut album, “It Took So Long”, simply because fans really love the song. Believe it or not, it is becoming one of the most requested songs for me to perform during my concerts. It is really wild! In January of this year, I performed at Angel City Cafe, right outside of Hollywood, California. I was about to close the set list and someone in the audience started shouting/chanting- “All The Blessings Flow”. Soon the whole crowd joined in. So that meant I had to sing it (laugh). But it made me feel really good because it shows that people are responding to my music in a more tangible way. The other songs on the EP are either remixed versions, new songs or songs from special projects, like “Colors”.
Stoli: I really love the real-life but positive message in your music. Is that how you live you life and does that reflect your personality as an optimist?
Kenneith Perrin: I appreciate that you recognize that my music is real-life but positive. This is exactly how I hope my music is perceived. I honestly try to live my life this way and am an eternal optimist. I think part of that stems from the fact that my parents raised me to believe that anything is possible if you believe and work hard enough for it. As I go through life, I realize that the only limits we have are the limits we set for ourselves. I think the difficult aspect of reaching or obtaining any dream or goal is keeping the desire to keep going when everything around you may not be so encouraging or positive. The latest feature to handle the PEV XXQ’s is a testament to perseverance and dedication in the music business – and he has the awards to prove it. Among them are two American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Plus Awards, recognition that Mr. Kenneith Perrin doesn’t take for granted, using the honors as a catalyst for performances across the United States, Germany and even the Czech Republic. All this, and Perrin pulled off something pretty rare during his XXQ’s… he actually surprised us with his answer to the “name one thing that would surprise us” question!
Perrin is currently promoting his latest EP, a collection titled “Life Adventure”. He got into it for us: “’Life Adventure’ is a precursor of forthcoming projects. The vision behind the ‘Life Adventure’ series is to create a collection of albums showcasing a variety of music styles, while simultaneously providing inspirational lyrics. For the EP, there’s an eclectic mix of pop, R&B, and adult contemporary styles… the styles, when blended together, have a fair balance of each. Not just one style dominating over the other. I think that comes from my love of enjoying all types of music. So inevitably it shows up when songwriting.”
Get into “Life Adventure” sooner than later – Kenneith is hard at work on a new full-length record that we’ll likely see later this year. Jump on his schedule at kenneithmusic.com for a live show while you’re at it. Get to all this, after you finish reading all the answers to the XXQ’s below.
XXQs: Kenneith Perrin
PensEyeView.com (PEV): How would you describe your sound and what do you feel makes you different from the others in your genre?
Kenneith Perrin (KP): I would describe my sound as a unique blend of pop and R&B with a Top 40 flair. I think what makes my music different from others in those genres is that the styles, when blended together, have a fair balance of each. Not just one style dominating over the other. I think that comes from my love of enjoying all types of music. So inevitably it shows up when songwriting.
PensEyeView.com (PEV): How would you describe your sound and what do you feel makes you different from the others in your genre? What kind of music where you into growing up? Do you remember your first concert?
KP: I grew up listening to R&B, gospel, dance, pop, and new wave. My first concert was in Philadelphia, PA. at Jones Memorial Church at the age of 10. My father, W.J. Perrin Jr., played bass (which he still does in my current band), along with other Philly musicians. At one point, my mother, Kathryn Perrin, even came up to play piano on a song called “Child’s Prayer” that the three of us wrote together. The concert lasted for about an hour and a half, but it seemed so much shorter because I had such a blast performing. With the crowd reaction to the songs and personal stories fused in-between them, I felt a genuine connection with everyone that attended. Amazing experience for a first time concert.
PEV: What was it like trying to break into the music scene, when you first started? What was your first show like?
KP: I started during the time when artists began focusing on being more independent as opposed to pursuing a major deal. I learned (and am still learning…laugh) that there are advantages and disadvantages to both. One theme that still prevails throughout is that you have to know your direction and you have to know how to combine all the talents you have to make a successful music career.
PEV: What can fans expect from a live Kenneith Perrin show?
KP: Excitement, encouraging vibes, dancing, and tons of audience participation.
PEV: What is the first thing that comes to mind when you step on stage to perform?
KP: Time to have fun.
PEV: What do you think of mainstream music today and what is missing or, as well, being done right?
KP: Mainstream music is constantly evolving. It’s interesting to see the trends th - Pens Eye View
