kels La chelle is one of the hottest females to ever hit the scene. With years of experience on the mic, and recent experience behind the boards she is well on her way to achieving her goals. kels style is known to be distinctive, and very controversial. Known for her truthful statements in her rhymes, and her open lifestyle of being a lesbian, some of her songs stir up conversation. kels explains: "My main goal in my time in music is to make good music. I want to talk about the things i go threw being a lesbian. I want others like me to know that their is a voice for who they are and what they represent. Listen to me as an artist because that's what i am." Checkout her tunes and peep her KC Flava.

"Documentary captures KC hip-hop scene"

High-energy performances are tempered with music videos such as Stakc’s “Me Myself and I,” a song about leaving the drug game and losing all your friends as a result.

There’s also a magnetic performance by up-and-coming female rapper Kels, who commands the stage, even if it’s just in the basement of Troostwood Banquet Hall.

“These are just regular people trying to make it doing something they love,” Williamson said.

Bio

kels La chelle hails from Kansas City. Representing both the Kansas and Missouri side, she has that distinct KC flow that is so recognizable. Mixing hard hitting beats and tongue twisting flows, she leaves people in awe… looking at the stereo like, “Is that really a female?”

kels La chelle’s sophomore album entitled Kelsparade featuring “Them Girls” is due to drop mid-October. Trying to reach out to a broader fan base, Kels has teamed up with producers such as: Pretti Boi Beats, Copeland Keys, and Vibe Beatz for a plethora of club bangers, ride songs, and baby making music. It is sure to bob the heads of gay and straight alike.

kels also has her hands in plenty of other projects around the KC area. She will be a featured artist in an up-and-coming documentary featuring the underground hip hop scene of Kansas City aptly named "Mics On Fire" directed and produced by Chris Williamson. As well as working on a mix tape entitled Tired of Being Broke vol. 1.

“Being a female MC is hard work…“ kels La chelle has mixed feelings about being a female in hip hop. Although she does not fit the visual concept of most female artists, she is acknowledged as a valuable artist for her lyrics and contributions to the hip hop genre.
