Bio
KAMP! is a Polish electronic pop trio formed in 2008 in Lodz, Poland. Their sound is often described as melodic synth-pop influenced by 80's new wave, 70's krautrock and 90's french house genres.
In February 2009 KAMP! released their first EP "Thales one" in Brennnessel net-label, founded and managed by members of KAMP!. "Thales one" has been greeted with enthusiastic reviews and critically acclaimed in the leading independent media in Poland. Their next release, SP "Breaking A Ghost's Heart" developed KAMP!'s celebratory, vintage disco sound and the title song became the band's most popular track. "Breaking a ghost's heart" was appreciated both by wider audience and popular, influential Polish radio stations.
In May 2010 KAMP! released single "Heats" with b-side "Distance Of The Modern Hearts". Both tracks were appreciated by international bloggers and took place in plenty of year’s end single summaries. In autumn 2010 their remix of song by Thieves Likes Us “Never Known Love” was released by French label deBonton on a remixed album edition.
In September 2011 KAMP! released their first international EP "Cairo" in D.I.S.C.O. Texas label. It includes the original song plus remixes by JBAG, Moullinex and Social Disco Club.
Now they put finishing touches to their debut album which will be released in autumn 2012.
During last 3 years the band managed to give over 100 unique and energetic concerts at the most important Polish venues and music festivals (Selector, Heineken Open'er, Audioriver, Tauron Nowa Muzyka, OFF Festival). Since 2010 KAMP! has also performed internationally in Germany (Popkomm in Berlin, c/o pop in Koln, Munich), US (Culture Collide in Los Angeles, SXSW), UK (The Great Escape Festival, Liverpool Music Week, Liverpool Sound City, Cargo in London), France (Europavox), Russia (Afisha Picnic in Moscow), China (EXPO 2010) and Czech Republic.
