Bio
Even though Jupiter is a young gun in the music world, a rookie is a title that couldn't be labeled on this Atlanta born artist. While attempting to create something fresh and exciting in a scene overflowing with repetitive copycats, Jupiter successfully combines rap, pop, and R&B rhythms to create a versatile sound which is all his own. Whether candles are flickering and the lights are dimmed or the club is about to explode, Atlanta’s Jupiter has what everyone needs.
With an innate musical ability, Jupiter began experimenting with free styling and writing music at age twelve, impressing friends in high school and eventually appearing on mix tapes by 2007. Moving from Atlanta, to Alabama then Louisville has expanded his ear for music by incorporating different regions of the world from southern to the mid-west. In 2008 he released his first dynamic mix tape, By Popular Demand, which ignited positive internet and radio accolades as he began crafting his next incredible release.
The Opening Act dazzled hip hop and R&B fans everywhere, featuring another set of brilliant tracks with bumping beats, catchy hooks, and fiery lyrics. By utilizing influences ranging from Jay-Z and Lupe Fiasco to T.I. and Lil Wayne, Jupiter is capable of writing straightforward rap as well as infectious pop inspired singles. His talent and determination are unmistakable, as he views the music business as more than fame, but an encompassing way of life.
As Jupiter’s popularity continues to grow, his presence in online outlets becomes more impressive with each fresh release. With over 500,000 plays on his MySpace page, fans from Texas to China are burning up the playlist, spinning tracks thousands of times as their appetite for more music becomes insatiable. In August 2009, he was given the opportunity to open for Pittsburgh’s latest hip hop star, Wiz Khalifa, in Louisville, Kentucky. His live performances have graced states such as Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee so far, with many more on the near blinding horizon.
While garnering remarkable comparisons to extraordinary artists such as Drake, Bow Wow, and Wiz Khalifa, Jupiter continues to reinvent himself and write a unique brand of music. Another mix tape installment, Aviation, is set for release in fall of 2010, signifying the next mammoth step on his explosive career path. Visit Jupiter’s official site to pick up The Opening Act, and stay on top of all the latest breaking news with MySpace, Twitter, and Facebook. Don’t be shocked if this young hip-pop sensation becomes a household name soon.
